Frame Up

Preview for Framed wallpaper

Sort of a variation on a wallpaper I’d done some time ago (which is on my DeviantArt page). Having the dock sitting right on the floor looks great, and I’m extremely happy with how the lighting came out on this one. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.

  1. Too bad you didn’t make the floral wallpaper in that image – it would have been more interesting.

  2. Well I dont know what “guy” is talking about. This wallpaper is awesome. As you said, I love the lighting. Its perfect, not to strong and not to weak (and believe me with all the apps I’ve used for design I know that lighting is one of the most difficult things to create, and yours is spot on).

  3. Awsome WP, i already made mine whit a Dodge Charger ‘69 poster, if u could make the PSD whit the frame separated from the floral b.ground, or send em separated would be nice, cuz i ll make a WP whit a portrait and need the frame vertical. thx tho.

  4. classy

  5. Awesome!! how much time do you spend roughly on a piece like this?

This one took most of a day (at least). Mostly it’s a matter of accumulating textures and bits (like the frame) that I like until they hit a sort of critical mass. It tends to come together relatively quickly after that. Of course that doesn’t count all the times I start and abandon wallpapers because they just don’t go anywhere.

  7. dont take this the wrong way, but all that time spent on getting the lighting right and texturing, would’ve easily taken you 15 minutes using 3DS Max.

    but great job nonetheless.
